IDTechEx provides business to business events, market research reports and consulting in high growth technology areas, namely printed electronics, RFID, thin film photovoltaics and smart packaging. Founded in 1999, the company has never made a loss and has grown substantially year on year. It seeks to provide impartial analysis of the trends in these technology sectors. In 2006 it won the UK's most prestigious award for international trade. The company has most operations based in the UK. IDTechEx moved its HQ to Boston, USA in 2007 reflecting the territory where most of its clients are based. It is intensely international in scope, monitoring RFID in 109 countries for example and employing technical graduates from far afield. In addition, many best in class technical and sales professionals assist the company. The board has decided to prioritise high growth over the next few years with offices opening in Germany and Japan.

The company operates on a flat structure, allowing staff from all divisions to input ideas to the highest level. This all results in the company having exceptionally low numbers of staff turnaround.

Staff are from the USA, UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, South Africa, New Zealand, Russia, China and Japan, for example. This has allowed us to cherry pick the best skills internationally and gives the company a diverse portfolio of cultures and languages.
